Coded for MIG, flux-core, stick, and TIG in all positions, I support nuclear power station piling ops (month-long standby with relevant clearances), MOD-sensitive builds, power station concept maintenance, and seven years of food-grade machinery manufacture.   • Stainless, aluminium and mild-steel fabrication: swaging, rolling, press work, spot welding, and coded MIG / flux-core / stick / TIG in all positions.
  • CNC plasma cutting and CAD preparation for supply kits and custom components.
  • Emergency recovery for piling rigs, trommels, and heavy plant: thread repairs, guarding rebuilds, hydraulic tidy-ups, piling equipment tooling manufacture.

Certifications & Training

  • SSSTS Supervisor card (site supervisor level).
  • Level 2 welding & fabrication codes — MIG, flux-core, and stick in all positions, plus TIG stainless competence for site and workshop builds.
  • Bricklaying level 2 NVQ 4 years experience in building homes.
  • Confined space, hot work, and permit-to-work familiarisation.
  • First aid and manual handling (renew as scheduled).
  • Comfortable with OEM platform inductions and client-specific safety briefs.

  • Emergency call-out to Keller piling rig: drilled out damaged mast threads with a mag drill, tapped for heavy-duty inserts, refitted auger cleaner arm, and reopened the rig the same afternoon.
  • Rebuilt Klemm rig canopy and rotary guarding: fabricated new panels and gates, resolved hydraulic leaks, and delivered the package painted and trimmed ready for site.
  • Carried out planned maintenance including auger flight hardfacing, captive chain repairs, and hydraulic pipework replacements to prevent unplanned downtime.
  • Provided month-long standby cover on nuclear power station piling ops, completing inspections and reactive welding while maintaining strict clearance and reporting requirements.
